Kaftan Fiesta

The holy month of Ramadhan is almost over, but the amazing nights with friends will always be memorable.  A recent gathering hosted by close friends of mine at their gorgeous cozy villa here in Dubai. The girls styled their kaftans really well and looked fabulous for the night.

Pink Mom

A mother of three, a fashion icon, and a super model, Elena Perminova. I am a fan of her style and taste that explains her elegance. I have picked some photos from her personal instagram that were an inspiration to me.
Myself, I am a mother of a wonderful and joyful boy Khalid, may Allah protect and I am expecting a baby girl ensha'Allah. So, those wonderful photos really inspired me for my new born preparations.

COVER Abaya Pop-up Shop

A new pop-up shop concept I came up with. The event took place on May 9 to 11, 2013 at DIFC, Dubia.

The word "Cover", in its literal form, is the existence of something that is used to protect or conceal another. Cover in this context is the ideal word to describe that of which modestly provides a woman with the means to remain concealed while maintaining her elegance and beauty. The word "Cover" perfectly illustrates the meaning behind the brand/concept as it provides the audience a glimpse of what the pop-up shop entails and builds a thrilling expectation and mystique to what lies behind the single monotonous word.

Cover, a brand new Abaya concept pop-up shop, featured 6 talented Abaya Designers from the UAE for three days. The designers displayed their Abayas for sale, providing the public an opportunity to purchase and delve deeper into the world of these garments. The pop-up shop will showcased one Abaya from each designer in an artistic photographic manner accompanied by personal message that allowed people to enjoy an experience rather than a mere selling/buying atmosphere. The pop-up shop aims to create a whole new concept of "Abaya shopping,” turning it into something of an art, entertainment, and showcase of talent.

The Designers : HF Abayas, Lame´, Reserved, McQueen Abayas, Slouchy'z, and FBubbuble.

Bobette Cohn & Fruzsina Keehn at a private viewing in Dubai!

A lovely afternoon held by Serra Kirdar-Meliti and Rania El Sadek where they put together a great sale trunk and private viewing of two fabulous designers Bobette Cohn and Fruzina Keehn from New York, at Serra villa, Dubai.

From left to right, Fruzsina Keehn, Serra Kirdar-Meliti and Bobette Cohn

Fashion designer Bobette Cohn
Bobette Cohn a fashion designer from New York City showcased her amazing collection that was vintage pieces she collected through her findings, where then she reworked and modernized those pieces and make them look just amazing. I also believe that vintage recreations are most wanted than wearing a really old dress. I was so in love with the collection and specifically all the details and embroidery it had.

Jewelry designer Fruzsina Keehn
Timeless Exquisite Jewelry by Fruzina Kheen really took my breath away. Kheen is a New York born designer that belt her concept on modernized/ vintage jewelry pieces. I must own a piece! TDF!

Art Dubai Opening Night!

It was a crazy night! The art fair was really big and I didn't had the chance to check out everything. For the readers who are not familiar with ArtDubai, its basically an international contemporary art fair that gathers artist and art professionals from across the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and beyond. With the crowd and bumping into a lot of friends, I didn't have the chance to take a lot of pictures but I'll be exploring the whole fair till the 19th of March!

Crazy crowd!!

To be continued! XX
