Picnic at Ush!

A lovely afternoon I spent today at Ush boutique for a focus group, studying the Abaya market in the UAE. We covered a lot of issues that relates to how casual and trendy are the abayas and the abaya pricing that is going crazy here in Dubai. We also discussed the ideal shopping for abayas and the variety of designs in the market. It was a very well informed focus group. I wish Abeer Al Suwaidi, owner of Ush boutique, all the best in any great upcoming projects. 

Hessa&Co. Fashion Styling Project : I RUN THE WORLD!

Hessa&Co. first fashion styling project with the participation of young designers, Lamé Shop, MarshMallow, Montaigne, Nouri, Zaiena, and Wayed Vintage, based in the GCC. 

The most challenging part in this project was to style all those different amazing designers collection to fit in one theme that was inspired from a very strong ghetto ladies. I am really happy with the results of this project, although I had a very low expectations. But I believed in myself and the fabulous designers quality work, as well as the young talented photographer Shereena Lootah. So  Thanks to all the amazing designers, Shereena Lootah, photograher, Evelyn Virag, model, and a big thank you to Bon Chon Chicken and Curry Toast restaurants.

a day out with my bestties!

Lunch plus movies with friends today at the mall, Dubai Mall. After a great lunch at Cafe Blanc, sticking to my crazy diet that is working! Finally!! We head to the movies to watch "Hall Pass." It wasn't bad. .

As I'm a UAE national, and our religion and culture is to cover up by wearing "Abayas" when we go out, but still we are fashionable under that. I don't wanna go more into that, but I loved my friend's "Abaya" she made her self. She bought this great embroidered fabric from The Global Village, that takes place in Dubai Shopping Festival. With the help of "Abaya" tailor she attached it the Abaya's sleeve, just simple and lovely. Great match up with the YSL bag.
